Reminders

We had a playdate with my friend Martina, and her twin boys, Lukka and Nick, today. It was a blast! Greyson loves to hang out with other babies. It's so much fun watching them all together. Martina's house is a veritable playland for babies their age. I don't think Greyson realized that there were this many toys available for someone with his interests. At this age, they play alongside each other, rather than with, but they're still completely aware of each other and it's adorable. Nick and Lukka are such well-behaved kids and it's so nice to have another mom friend to connect with. It's always a lesson for me when I hang out with Martina because even with twins, she handles all of the stresses and frustrations of motherhood with such grace. God uses her to show me how much I complain and it's humbling. My favorite picture is the one of all of them eating lunch. Of course Martina and I didn't get to eat until much later but that's the way it goes, and to say anymore would be complaining.

We had Greyson dedicated at church yesterday. We dedicated our son to God and promised, in the presence of our church, to raise him in a manner that is worthy of the faith we profess. –"Do you promise before God first to work diligently to form a Godly home and then to raise Greyson in the love and knowledge of the Lord, and to demonstrate your pledge by loving him at all times, by teaching him the stories and lessons of the Bible, by living a committed Christian life before him, by raising him, and participating yourselves, in a local congregation of the Body of Christ?"— We did. It is an awesome responsibility and I never want to forget what we promised. Our beloved pastor and friend, Norm, prayed for our son. Special guests: my parents. Friends and family came out celebrate with us. We are overwhelmed by the support and love that surrounded us. We are blessed.
Here's a video of the boys. Greyson's doing his "exercises" and Lukka decides to join him at the end.
