Teething Again

Greyson was insanely cranky today. He seems to be teething again, perhaps another set of molars. It's been a while since we've had to deal with this so it didn't occur to us at first. He woke up edgy with a short fuse. The littlest things set him off, crying, whining and wanting "up" (to be carried). When we picked him up from nursery at church this morning, we found him bawling at the top of his lungs over a ball. It was so incomprehensible, that it was funny. We got him home, fed him lunch and in bed for his nap by 1pm. He woke up in an hour and a half, still fussy and cranky. We gave him Tylenol then took him for a walk to distract him.

We walked with him up to West Portal Avenue, all the way to the tunnel and back. Walked, as in no stroller. It was the first time we'd done that. Greyson loved it. He walks so fast he's at least three feet ahead of us the whole time. He stops at every manhole cover because he likes how they wobble and make a sound when he steps on them. He waves at every bird and yells "Ya ya!!!" (again, Mandarin for duck), and every dog, stopping several times to say goodbye to them when we pass. It was such an experience for all of us. Roque and I just looked this little person next to us and wondered where our baby went. Where did the time go?

I can sympathize with the teething baby - Olivia has been waking up early from all naps, always crying and is so fussy and cranky when she's up it's just ridiculous! Last night she woke up and cried to the point of choking for an hour. And all this for just the tiny tooth that sits next to the two top middle teeth. I am NOT looking forward to molars!
