Videos, Videos, Videos
Since we bought our new camera, we haven't taken as many videos of Greyson. To make up for that, here are the few that we've taken over the last few months. Our boy is now 14 months old and weighs almost 28 lbs. Here are a few of his latest antics captured on film.
Here is Greyson doing his favorite thing, pulling books down from a bookshelf and throwing them all over the floor. This is what I have to deal with before every open house. As I put toys away, he's pulling them out. As I tidy, he "untidies."
He does the same thing with laundry. It started out with him going up to a stack of folded laundry on the couch and pulling it down one item at a time. I'd dissuade him by saying "No No!!!!" and now it's a game. The louder I protest, the more excited he gets.
We've been vacationing in Santa Cruz this week and there was a long staircase in the house we stayed at. Greyson learned to climb it in 5 minutes. Once he figured it out, he was fearless and ploughed up the 15 or so steps in minutes. He was so into it, he'd crawl to the bottom of the staircase every opportunity he had to practice. In between stairs, he'd pause, get on his elbows and applaud himself. One evening when we were all busy making dinner in the kitchen, we suddenly realized Greyson wasn't anywhere. We found him upstairs all by himself squealing and yelping, triumphant that he'd made it up there unsupervised. It was both scary and hilarious.
Greyson now eats his finger foods with a fork. He likes them in big chunks and he's very proud of himself when he successfully eats off of it. He applauds his efforts relentlessly. Sometimes we wonder if we're raising him to eat for approval. Thank goodness he isn't a girl.
