Man in the Kitchen

We bought Greyson a toy kitchen from a garage sale recently, and last weekend we furnished it with pots and pans, play food and utensils. This is the difference between boys and girls. Amy's daughter, Olivia, will make meals and feed it to her, and her baby doll. We buy Greyson all this stuff, thinking it will encourage pretend play and some loving moments of our son serving us tea. All Greyson does is eat. I'll say, "Greyson, can you make me some chicken and peas?" He'll go get the fake chicken and peas, and just starting cramming them in his mouth. He holds up the hamburger patty and says, "Mummy, hamburger! Looks like a raisin!" then cram it in his mouth. He runs around the house with the spout of his teapot in his mouth "drinking tea." The only nurturing act I've seen him do with the fake food is try and feed the peas and corn to our cat. He punts it at Simon saying, "Mao Mao, eat peas and corn. Eat it!" What a man.
