I feel sad about how of Greyson's life I've missed on blogging these last couple of months. Little moments, little things our boy says, little sillies: Greyson in the rain, Greyson making chocolate cake, Greyson writing his name. Hopefully these photos help recapture the little snippets. He is a completely different child since he started school and to try and describe it in words seems almost impossible. He's doing great now, actually, there wasn't much crying after that first day. He's warmed up to his teachers, and knows all his classmates by name. The morning routine of preschool albeit brutal, has become familiar, and Greyson cooperates with no protest.

Greyson's speech has taken on the most significant development. Our already verbal boy is so much more articulate now. He makes up words like "jackiebug" and "critis" (translation still unavailable for both). He sings to himself incessantly and loves showing us hand actions to poems and songs he learns at school. The first week he came home saying "Bibbity bobbity boo!" over and over. It's such a relief to have another source of input, other than ourselves teaching him and exposing him to stuff. He knows how to write his name now, all seven letters, and and can read at least half the words in his Boggle Junior word cards. Yesterday, we let him sit with us in service at church instead of going to Sunday School and he loved it; clapping during worship, raising his hands when we did, closing his eyes during prayer, laughing during Pastor Bill's jokes, and then patiently doodling throughout the sermon. The Greyson two months ago could never have done that.

One of the photos above shows Greyson going "Nuh uh!!!" while holding my positive pregnancy test. He was copying Roque's reaction when I told him. He has no idea how this new baby will change his life, and it makes me a little sad when I think our days with just him are going to end. All he knows is that Mama's baby has a baby in the belly, and today, he told me that he has a baby in his belly too. Whatever. Ignorance is bliss.
